I certainly get the urge to break down whether this is a win/win and what it means for the Lions, but it's a lot like analyzing the defensive adjustments the Washington Generals are making at halftime.

It's the Detroit Lions. Fucking up is in their DNA.

 

Why would they not use them to rebuild?

 

Stafford contract is quite affordable for a starting QB. The Lions only agreed to take Goff if the Rams paid more. He’s a negative asset.

 

See: New England Patriots, 1999; Pittsburgh Steelers, 1971. Everybody fucks up until they stop fucking up.

 

Cool. Maybe this will be the move that finally makes the Lions champions!

 

Lions last won a playoff game in 1991. Last championship 1957.
They are as due as any team in pro sports
