Muh Muh Muh My Corona (virus)

So tomorrow is the day Massachusetts residents age 75 or older can start to receive vaccinations. There have been an infinite number of fuckups in the process, but many people have registered and have appointments for tomorrow. Except there's gonna be a goddamn nor'easter with a foot plus of snow. The government is telling people to stay the fuck off the roads. BUT, that VERY SAME government is telling those seniors who have vaccine appointments for tomorrow that if they can't make it, they have to reschedule and will go to the back of the super senior line. Prediction: Some poor soul, not much older than 70-year old me, is gonna try to drive to his/her appointment out of panic and get killed in the process.

Im so surprised, yet impressed by West Virginia's response. Here, it's becoming a "yeah, let the second dose wait a little longer to give more a first dose". And yet nobody seems to be getting a first dose on schedule. My mom's place did get all staff and residents vaccinated just last Friday. Two residents refused despite OK from their family.

 

The weirdest person I’ve ever met was an anesthesiologist. A degree and a license do not inoculate one from craziness.

You ever see the Twilight Zone where a woman is having plastic surgery because her face is horribly disfigured and everyone is praying she can finally look normal? You never see anyone's face through the entire episode until the end when they take off her bandages. She's beautiful. They all start screaming in horror and telling her they are sorry it didn't work. Then we see the doctor and nurses and they all have pig faces, with flat noses and giant nostrils.
