Goddamn. How fucking hard is it to keep to yourself for a week? Aren't they leaving for Tampa like tomorrow?

I think the Chiefs were scheduled to leave Thursday night, but that might have changed

Oh, I forgot Super Bowl week activities have been curtailed because of COVID. Still, how hard is it?

It's hard. If it wasn't hard, the virus wouldn't be so easy to get, or in this case, to come into contact with someone who subsequently gets sick or tests positive. Did a player stop to get gas, or pick up a pizza on the way home, or, most likely, had some relative come to the house to pester him about tickets. Not letting father-in-law in the door could be problematic.

It's the most important game of your life. Put yourself and your family in a bubble for 12 days.

The Chiefs are driven by Mahomes (obviously) but he's been largely dependent upon Kelce and Hill (79% yds and 68% recepts in playoffs).

My one personal wish is to be able to ask what would the Master Genius (Mr. Hoody) devise to take away those guys? I have often hear that in big games he takes away what you want to do, risking vulnerabilities elsewhere. Would love to hear that.

Not sure any team has the speed to take away Hill.

I can't tell if you're being facetious or not, but that match-up happened - Pats 37, Chiefs 31 in the 2019 AFC Championship Game. The Pats did indeed limit Kelce and Hill to 4 combined catches, but obviously, Mahomes still had almost 300 yards and three touchdowns.

Come now, there have been a few idiots who got stupid on Super Bowl week. Hookers, boat rides, parties. This is just a new variation of the same theme, ‘the rules don’t apply to me’.

Tampa won’t be drawing big crowds this weekend but one venerable institution is no longer with us — the Tanga Lounge
