When I was a kid, there were only seven SEC states.

We can't help it if it started meaning more elsewhere.

I must say as a Missouri native, it's remarkable how much the state's politics have moved in conjunction with Mizzou's new conference affiliation

They are scared to death of the defamation lawsuit from Dominion.

And it’s debatable that it meant “that” much more in Kentucky and Mississippi.

I eagerly await Dominion dragging all these clowns into court. Discovery against Rudy promises to be fun. I don’t know what Dominion’s financial wherewithal is to pursue all these cases, but I hope it’s a lot.

They likely have suffered significant damages. Very few states are going to want to use their machines going forward.

It apparently didn't mean enough for Tulane and Georgia Tech.

Arguably it meant too much for Tech, which left in something of a snit after getting in a dick swinging contest with Bear Bryant and Alabama and coming up short. Back then Bryant was considered the brash young renegade while Bobby Dodd was respected as the dean of Southern coaches and GT enjoyed status as the lofty old money team of Atlanta’s power brokers. Quitting the SEC really killed them by the 70s, and once Vince Dooley brought home a national title to Athens I don’t think they ever had a chance to recover.
