Hey, when you root for the Wolfpack, you’ve got to take your triumphs where you can.

We're not going to talk about the Hokies' women beating the Wolfpack last week though?

The recent WBB story I found mindblowing was UConn's twenty-five years without a losing streak.

Despite loss, UConn women still have incredible streak going

"Many of UConn’s incredible regular-season streaks are over after Thursday night’s loss at Baylor.

Still, the Huskies have one left that is among the most remarkable in sports. They haven’t had a losing streak in 25 years.

That’s right, UConn has gone 938 consecutive games without back-to-back defeats. The Huskies kept that run going with a 20-point win over Houston on Sunday. Since the start of the 1993-94 season, they are 59-0 following a loss."

    Liked Geno's quote, too.

“What is disappointing for me, not that we lost. How long did you think you were going to win every game in the regular season, 10 years?” coach Geno Auriemma said after the 68-57 defeat on Thursday. “So I’m not surprised that we lost, but it was disappointing that we struggled so much on the offensive end.”

Canisius's weekend series at Rider is postponed. Canisius has not played since Jan. 2 because of Covid issues in its program, and in their scheduled opponent's programs. It has played six games all season; its next scheduled game is Feb. 12.

The women's team has played five games total, and none since Dec. 20, for the same reasons. Its next scheduled game is Feb. 13.

Big South just announced it's moving from a neutral-site to all on-campus games at the higher seed for its tournaments due to COVID. Smart move. Probably a lot less of a chance of an outbreak with fewer people involved at a specific site, and those smaller leagues have no financial way to conduct the testing required to run a true "bubble" tournament site. I know the power leagues won't try this, but they probably ought to, especially with no fans allowed (likely) at most events.

Yeah, being some sort of traveling covid circus, while being a college student, doesn't sound all that great.

Recall the virus was so bad in Bernalillo County, the Lobos' football team shifted operations to Las Vegas.

We can. Kenny Brooks has done good work.

Should have had NCSU in Raleigh. Big comeback did away with that.

NCSU somehow forced overtime in Blacksburg four days later. Then the Hokies refused to miss in overtime. Big win for Virginia Tech.

NCSU's Elissa Cunane was unable to play in either game. Tough not to miss an effective 6-foot-5 post presence. Wonder if learning how to play without her helped with beating Louisville. How handy will that be should the situation present itself again in the NCAA Tournament?

Once again I’m asking what discernible coaching talent Will Wade has shown besides making a “strong-ass offer” to top high school recruits. LSU’s offense consists of five different 1-on-1 games happening simultaneously.
