She would have been a useful tool for those lobbyists who couldn't get anyone else to listen to them and do their bidding in committee. Realistically what she should do is go back to her district and find out what the people there want her to do - if its resign, resign - if they have other pressing issues before Congress, represent those interests and lobby fellow members in the hallways in the various caucus meetings (Freedom, Gun Owners, etc.). Hell, she could take the lead in quashing the Q movement. Apologizing for her actions and promising to do better - of course she'd probably lose her base.

I have just about as deep roots in Georgia's 14th district as Greene does. She's money from Atlanta who shopped around to find a safely red rotten borough without an incumbent. She'd have moved out of state if it was needed. She doesn't give a fuck about her constituents, who of course deserve all the contempt she has for them. They need a return visit from the Army of the Tennessee.

Well, the district almost got a visit from the Tennessee National Guard about a decade ago when Georgia was trying to seize access to the Tennessee River because someone thought it would be good to build Atlanta with not enough water.

She could have gotten elected from any safely red district in the country. Ole whatsername from western Colorado is basically her sorority sister, but I don’t see people on here 10 times a day wishing for the Mexican army to subjugate the locals or having a nervous breakdown about “PAC-12 values.”

You're right there. She coulda moved to Idaho and done the same thing. The idea was to find a red district with a retiring incumbent. This was hers closest to home.

I wonder what Diaz-Balart's play was there. Cubans love Trump. She has Trump's backing.

South Florida has Jewish people, still? As does New York.

So he gets the Jewish vote, too? Interesting coalition down there in Miami-Dade.
