I’m constantly thinking what goes on in DC offices when they release a pile of shit like WW84 and Marvel does this.

    “Why can’t we do this?”

Weird, but I was relieved to see S.W.O.R.D. Base in the opening scene. There's a lot of stuff to chew on. The imagery they chose to convey Wanda's emotional state was brilliant. It was disturbing and tragic. Wasn't sure whether to cry or turn on the hall lights, especially after that flash of Vision's corpse. The sitcom conceit was starting to feel confining, so they picked the right moment to focus out.

Hot takes: I've seen Bettany in other things and I'm always caught by how pretty his eyes are.
I want to see Elizabeth Olsen in other roles.
Dr. Whatshername makes my slapping hand itch.
Jimmy Woo needs to be teamed up with different capes. He's fun to watch. I don't remember having this response to him in AntMan.

Jimmy Woo was actually first mentioned in the second season of Agents of SHIELD. He was a SHIELD agent who worked with Melinda May at some point, then later joined the FBI. He is based on a character in the comics who took the opposite path, serving in the FBI for years before becoming a SHIELD agent. He was at some point de-aged and formed another organization, the Agents of ATLAS. He is played a little more for laughs in the MCU, but it works.

I like that they actually had Darcy's character grow a bit from being only comic relief in Thor to being competent, yet still annoying, in WandaVision.

Agreed. Gonna say this is not about mental illness. It's about grief. There's one point in the episode when it looks like they are giving someone's grief literal shape and form. I stuck with this because the cast was carrying what looked like an uneven premise so well. Glad I hung in there.

    So many questions...

So many things you could possibly reed into...

I read the Den of Geek wrap up, and there is so much compacted into this episode. I really suggest you reed it after watching.

Yup. My daughter actually stopped the episode and rewound it so we could watch that bit again. Then she explained her take on it before moving on again. I was so proud. :)

We just watched it today. I'm still digesting, but I've got to say I'm still very confused and happily so.

That was very good. Here is the link for those who care to read it. Of course, be warned that spoilers abound, so don't click until after watching Episode 5.

WandaVision Episode 5 Review: On a Very Special Episode... | Den of Geek

The big reveal at the end could have huge implications for the MCU going forward depending on how you interpret it.

The new trailer for Falcon and the Winter Soldier gives us a little more on the relationship between the two leads, Zemo, and the girl in the mask. My first thought was that this is Echo from the comics, but apparently, that character won't show up until the Hawkeye MCU series.
