That's surprising. That'll clear the stage for a women's mud match in Arkansas: Rutledge vs. the Huckstress.

As the 51st vote, she's going to be tied to a number of bills that the GQP can make hay on. It will also depend on how the Biden administration is looking in three years.

It was illegal for Black people to move to Oregon until 1926? Is this accurate?

There are millions of minutes to tick off. Joe is in DGAF mode right now, but might discover in late 2022 or early 2023 that his positions are mightily popular if he holds both houses.

The most insane fact about the arrest rate discrepancy is that it's only the fifth-worst.

It wasn't enforced, but Oregon did (and still does) have a small Black population. The state is becoming much more diverse, yes, but more Asian/India/Hispanic diverse than Black. The Willamette Valley is solid blue, but go East of the Willamette River and south of Eugene and Oregon gets pretty white and redneck.

Portland cops might be the only GOP/right wingers in Multnomah County.

    No way.

If you want them scattered, smothered and covered, she would lie and say it wasn't available.

The passage of the John Lewis Voting Rights Act is actually critical for democracy to continue.

Only republicans and the willfully obtuse don’t acknowledge that. The country got a stress test and only barely passed. Next test, with no changes, it will fail.

that can be prevented but only if Dems put on their adult pants and get to work.

Right? We were a half-dozen seats away from the House going Republican. A hair’s breadth from the Senate doing likewise. And if they had those majorities, there’s no doubt in my mind they’d have approved overturning Biden’s win. A half-dozen seats. The GOP can gerrymander triple that number in its sleep.

No we don’t have any more margin to leave a rigged status quo in place just because an equitable solution makes the exurban power brokers from the fashionable clique at First Baptist uncomfortable. I’m very sorry they didn’t pick up on It’s Someone Else’s Turn in kindergarten, but we’ve spent more time than we can afford waiting on them to wrap up their existential hissy fit.
