The staff seems like it could make for an interesting season of Last Chance U.

When I lived in Jacksonville we drank at Bombay Bicycle Club but that’s long gone
I googled it and there still are five or six of them left

My parents spent the last 30 years of their lives in Ponte Vedra Beach, so I drank mostly in Jax Beach dives or at the PV Inn and Club where they were members. In all honesty. I spent much time there and probably saw about 3 percent of Jacksonville the city.

But if the wind was blowing in from the paper mills you smelled all of it.

Local legend says when Bush 41 visited Jacksonville he inquired about the smell and was told it came from the nearby Maxwell House plant

Is THAT what Skynyrd was singing about?

OK - it's even weirder than that. Ronnie wrote the song as a "wake-up call" to the band that they were partying too hard and needed to change their ways (including him) "Prince Charming" who was in the car crash into an oak tree was Rossington. The album the song is featured on "Street Survivors" came out three days before the fatal plane crash. Even more surprising - "That Smell" even with its morbid overtones failed to chart, or maybe that's why. Even after the crash. Blows my mind.
