Trump supporters are the majority of Republican primary voters. I think that anyone running for President on the Republican would like to stay in their good graces. I think anyone supporting Trump would have a comparative advantage over anyone not supporting Trump.

The same guy who wants to turn the military on Americans exercising their constitutional right to protest? No thanks.

I’d argue America is numb to the impeachment stuff. It’s there, in the background, most Americans (say 60%) think he should be convicted, but it doesn’t change their life either way if he is or isn’t

The Romney child payment program would change a lot of lives. Naturally, it’s not under discussion here or almost anywhere.

It's actually getting the same amount of coverage most policy does -- precious little. What happens is that a big proposal gets a bunch of attention (almost all favorable in Romney's case) when it's released, then gets ignored as it's dumped into the congressional sausage factory, UNLESS it becomes a partisan issue fit for combat by cable talking heads. Since Romney's proposal was actually a good faith effort to find common ground, and at least some Democrats are listening and thus negotiating, it won't get much attention until a final hybrid version emerges.

Mitch can be vicious. He's probably filing his teeth and claws as we write.

Kinda like that constantly moving Rapture date?

"But he's hurting the right people!"

Awwwwwww, Donnie's getting cucked on Valentine's weekend.

Former US ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley has finally turned on Donald Trump amid his Senate impeachment trial, saying that she believes "we shouldn’t have followed him".
In an interview published by Politico on Friday, Ms Haley, 49, who served in Mr Trump's cabinet between 2017 to 2018, said: “We need to acknowledge he let us down."
She added: "He went down a path he shouldn’t have, and we shouldn’t have followed him, and we shouldn’t have listened to him. And we can’t let that ever happen again.”

Which "show" had more of an impact on making Trump President - WWE or The Apprentice?
