I'm biased. I prefer science fiction to fantasy/magic. If they are going to introduce Mephisto and make him a big bad, you could bring in Doom as a scientist/businessman and save the sorcery as a surprise. He then becomes a secret weapon to help them defeat Mephisto, only to use the opportunity to take over Latveria and establish himself as a threat in his own right. I would much rather see a slow burn that has Doom start off as just another Stark type who seems like he might even be a good guy at first, then slowly reveal the rest.

I doubt it. You would basically be throwing out the dynamic that has been there since the characters were introduced.

Almost every character has had their personality tweaked.

Tweaking and fundamentally changing are not the same things.

Ben Grimm doesn't have to be dumb. He is supposed to be a capable guy, but far more down to Earth and relatable in terms of his personality than the other characters.

I’ll take that version of him.

Michael Chiklis played that version of him, at least at first. He wasn't dumb. He and Johnny just weren't on an intellectual level with the characters around him. By the second movie, he played the role as a dumber character. Then again, that may have just been a drop in intelligence level for the entire script.

Finally caught up with the show and the wife and I are all-in. Really, it’s the most inventive show I’ve seen in a long time. How high were the creators when they came up with the pitch for this one?

The first two episodes were very slow, but funny and quirky enough to keep us interested. The third episode started to peel back some layers and the last two have been excellent.

I have to admit, I was confused when Darcy said they recast Pietro. I remembered FOX Quicksilver better than MCU Quicksilver and I was like, “Why did she say they recast him? It’s the same actor!” ‍♂️

The appearance of X-Man Quicksilver got me thinking about how they’re going to introduce mutants to the MCU and my memory is probably hazy, but didn’t SWORD have something to do with the creation of the Sentinels? In the scene where Rambeau walks into SWORD and they discuss the drone and AI programs, some of the equipment laying around reminded me of perhaps an eye of a Sentinel.

    The stakes have been raised.

I'm wondering if we'll see Doctor Strange called in now that things clearly are getting beyond what S.W.O.R.D. can handle.

    SWORD seems to be anti-hero.

One thing that struck me as weird was the scene right after Vision talked to Agnes. It looked like they were shooting day for night.
