SWORD Director Hayward seems to have a problem with people with powers. He also seems to have an agenda with Vision.

What we've seen of the show seems to suggest he has changed what SWORD was since taking over. Think back to when we saw Rambeau return to SWORD headquarters and her key card wouldn't work. The guard at the desk made it very clear he didn't think she belonged there.

Watching Endgame for about the ninth time this month on TNT. All I can think of is how much all of us would have lost our ever-lovin' minds if we saw this scene back around 2010. Every fanboi in America might have had a collective seizure.

I've lost count of how many times I've watched that scene, including three this week. I watched the movie again earlier in the week, then caught just from the start of the fight between the big three and Thanos on TNT. Of course, I watched it again because you posted it on the thread. As I've mentioned before, they built up to that for a decade and somehow stuck the landing in that scene. I try to focus on different things. This time, it was the acting Chris Evans does, especially the changes in his facial expression. He goes from exhausted, to stunned, to relief when he sees Black Panther, to a hint of a smile at seeing Falcon, and finally to a determined look as he catches Mjolnir and starts the attack with "Assemble."

So what series will WandaVision ape for the next episode? Or do they scrap the idea since we are into the meat of the story?

  5. It’s been a while since i read comic books... correct me if I am wrong, but ...

I don’t ever recall the Scarlett Witch being this powerful. Ever. Guy I work with - bog comic nerd - says I am flat out wrong, said she single-handedly defeat Thanos.
I enjoy the show, but I recall the Scarett Witch being a hex (bad-luck befalls 5ose trying to harm her) character.
    Really enjoying WandaVision.

Her powers are kind of vaguely defined, and are a cross between mutant and magic. I think early on she was mostly what you said, but as time went on her powers became more along the lines of the ability to warp reality. She wiped out almost all of Marvel's overpopulated mutant scene with a single sentence, for example, after creating a complete alternate reality (which seems to be the plot thread WandaVision is aping). She's been turned into one of, if not the most, powerful mutants in the Marvel Universe.

It's the same way in the MCU. She's mostly been portrayed as something along the lines of a very powerful telekinetic -- she would have killed Thanos herself in Endgame, literally ripped him apart, if not for a desperation move by Thanos; she also more or less held him at bay while simultaneously destroying the Mind Stone in Infinity War -- but her abilities have never been clearly defined. So the same reality-warping ability she has in the comics could be part of her skillset in the MCU.
Her grief and anger also seems to greatly amplify her abilities in both universes. In the comics, she had a mental breakdown that led to her creating an alternate reality and wiping out the mutants. In the MCU, the death of Vision seems to have led her to have a similar breakdown and create her own sort of reality in Westview.

Batman explained it well. They seem to be moving the MCU version of the character closer to what she is in the comics. At the start of the House of M storyline in the comics, she rewrote all of reality, at least on Earth. Only a handful of people were even able to retain their memory of what had been before. When that all came crashing down, she said "No more mutants" and all but less than 200 of the Earth's mutants instantly lost their powers.

If they do The Office and John Krasinski enters as Reed Richards, the internet will melt.

I keep hearing about a cameo that is as big as the one in the season finale of The Mandalorian. That would certainly qualify.

Already watched it. The kiddo didn't have in-person school today so he twisted my arm at 8am to turn it on. LOL
