President Biden: The NEW one and only politics thread

1) Asheville is much, much more blue than you think. That region was why the GOP was consistently gerrymandering, which produced Mark Meadows and later Madison Cawthorn.
2) Tillis is everything negative you said, but Cal Cunningham and his sexting to a staff member did himself zero favors. We can go into relative flaws and all that and I won't argue, but look at the vote margin. All Cunningham had to do was keep his nose clean. He didn't. Stuck with Tillis - again.
3) Have zero use for Richard Burr - he's taken enough NRA money to stain his political career for the rest of his days - but take a look at his issues. Busted for insider trading ... think he didn't retaliate, in part, because it's entirely possible that they went after him because he dared criticize Russia, which the Subhuman Pile of Crime was covering? The Tangerine Tantrum got him off the committee to help protect Russia, but kept him in the Senate. Burr pushes back by voting to convict him.
4) Charlotte isn't as blue as you might think. Still a massive banking hub. Think they're all blue?
5) A few other counties outside the Triangle, Triad (Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point) and Metrolina went blue in last election.

 

Keep those censures coming. Love it.

If the state party leaders are censuring people it tells you the crazies are in charge of the party. In most places the crazies can’t win a statewide election.

In Arizona they’ve censured Jeff Flake, Cindy McCain and Doug Ducey. They’ve also lost both senate seats and Biden carried the state. They are doubling down on the crazy, god bless them.

Both revelations came within hours of each other. Something that should create a screenplay one day.
You've got an allegedly moderating state that had a chance to depose a Trumpist Senator and couldn't finish the job. Now can they thwart the racist intentions of their state legislature and do something about voting rights? Having failed to produce ideas that appeal to people other than white men, they must resort to keeping the bad people away from the polls. This is something Georgia and other places are doing as well.
