Having heard that song and knowing his name, I have to say I was stunned to discover Tony Joe White is a white guy.

 

Wrote some great songs, Rainy Night in Georgia is one.

 

Saw Tony Joe White play in a Nashville bar in 2016.

That was a 50 minute set that felt like about 5 hours.

The years were not kind.

 

Yeah, I get it. Been to a couple like that as well.
