I had tickets to see the GnR/Metallica show in Toronto on August 9, 1992. But they had to postpone it because James Hetfield accidentally set himself on fire the night before in Montreal. So that sucked. Also, that was the day John Kordic died, which double sucked.

Still haven’t seen either band.

 

I'm watching Joe Biden do a town hall as POTUS.

Trump the raging narcissist probably would have helped her, too. Narcissists do those things.

The difference, perhaps, is Trump usually wanted his rallies and chats to be long gripe sessions, instead of Biden's preference for showing piety with mothers. To be clear I'll take Joe's approach.

There are, of course, a lot of immunocompromised sons and daughters out there who are not anywhere near the front of the line, too. They don't get vaccinated by proxy.

 

I got Chinese Democracy the day it came out, immediately listened to it and thought “this is actually pretty good!”

I have not listened to it since.

 

Damn. The last time both bands were at the height of their powers (and before Metallica went into the wilderness for 20 years). I'm sorry, man.

 

Yup. Thought it was going to be a total trainwreck and was all, "This...this doesn't suck." No personal staying power for me, though. I haven't listened to it since it came out. I still listen to Buckethead on the regular, though.
