What's it like to view everyone and everything through the lens of "but is he the complete devil?"

Some people seem very concerned that Harris is exerting some nefarious influence on Biden behind the scenes.

As I recall when Fatfuck assumed office, many (fine) people on both sides assumed Jeezus Boy Pence was going to play a highly influential role in the day to day operations of the junta in terms of the nuts and bolts of getting stuff done; Fatboy's supporters used this as a counter argument to his lack of experience in actual government.

Because you seem more interested in trying to understand people scaling the Capitol walls than decent people trying their best.

You twist your mind to understand the former and dismiss the latter as thin arrogant pushovers.

    It’s a sin eating I don’t have time for.

Biden is just far less polar-izing.

What’s it like to actually defend a racist, coup instigator like Trump?

Even if Biden is the next Jimmy Carter, history will look kinder upon him than the last four years. We’ll judge him like we do every president which is going to be a dramatic shift from the fact the last guy literally tried to overthrow an election.

History should look kindly on Jimmy Carter.

Honestly, I don't have to "try" to understand them and neither do you. I've long been done with understanding it. They're holy fools, scoffers for sure, in many cases infected with wretched ideology crapped out on the Internet, and many of them will be going to jail for what they did.

What I think offends you is my relative disinterest in dwelling on them. I'm interested in looking forward - at the current president, for example - not the president looming in the near past. I did not vote for Trump either time, expected little from him, got little from him and prefer to spend less mental energy on him than the current leader. I found the man grievous, I've said so again and again, but he does not occupy the larger half of my thoughts. Must he? Must they?

I asked dixie and I'll ask you: When is it OK to talk about something else? When will spinning it forward be acceptable? How long will this thread be on Voldemort's time?

I'm not defending him. He was hideous. He should have been convicted. The end.
