    That’s a lot of money.

    I thought I was responding to the Tatis news, but that was on the other thread. I’m not even drunk or stoned, so I shall skinny dip in the Great Lake of Fail.

    It really is a lot of money, though.

    If only small-market teams could compete on a salary basis with the top MLB franchises.

    Wow! That's confidence in ownership locking up a generational talent. But baseball is also filled with Tony Conigliaros and Joe Charboneaus. I hope for the Padres' sake he is still pounding them in 2036.

    Please, please tell me the Toronto papers will refer to them as the "Canadian Snowbirds."
