Hell, Massachusetts just today said 65-74 year olds are eligible to make appointments starting tomorrow. Governor said to expect it might take a month to get one, though. Keeps blaming a lack of vaccine and by implication the feds when the stats show we are a big laggard in using the vaccine on hand.

Vaccines are best seen as working on a population level, not an individual level.

If you've got 90% protection in a society where everyone else is teeming with the virus, you've still got a fair amount of risk.

If you've got 90% protection in a society where almost everyone else has 90% protection, then your protection is almost never tested and you're basically 100% protected.

Can we retaliate by threatening to pull DeathSantis?

Right on cue, today's hospital drop was a little smaller by percentage than the previous Wednesday's, the first time that's happened in a couple of weeks. Could be a blip, could be the start of a trend.

Things are opening up now, but it’s worse now than it was in September - October. Schools will start back, courts will open soon. Businesses will
Open and people will start taking vacations again. And we have now learned and are desensitized to live with more people dying and getting ill. The Christian Right has pushed their Pro-death policy on the country. Lack of health care, substandard food and housing for the poor. Pushing more and more people to die. It’s easier to accept Jesus if you are with him, right?

For a state defined by "Florida Man," I'm not surprised at all by the election of DeSantis - the patron saint of Bad Choices.
