Every once in a while it really blows my mind what words have been turned into insults in our culture:

“Virtue signaling”: Why would we ever want someone to demonstrate good character?

“Social justice warrior”: The derision comes in two flavors. Some people hate the idea of helping the disadvantaged altogether, others can grumble past as long as you don’t actually put any effort into it.

“Snowflake”: How dare you express individuality in unapproved ways? You are nothing special whatsoever, not fit to choke on the diesel fumes of my F350 with the pollution controls removed. The only people who are special are ranchers avoiding grazing fees and preachers wealthy enough to get blowjobs on a yacht. Then you are a “rugged individualist” and those make America great.
