I think Trump being deplatformed will hurt him after his CPAC speech.

For a long time Trump was the nutty uncle you saw every week at family dinner espousing some crackpot BS. You heard it all the time and you just shook your head. What an ass that guy is. You didn’t take him seriously. You hoped that one day he’d disappear after he drove into a ditch.

Then without notice Uncle Larry wanders away for a few years. You don’t hear from him. Your parents don’t talk about it, but the truth is that he’s spending a couple years in rehab because he’s that much of a drunk. Your memories of his insanity — yes, he did say that Nancy Pelosi is a Holocaust survivor who morphed into a Martian and had a love child with George Soros, a kid named Chelsea Clinton — fade. Maybe he’s gotten his act together.

Larry comes back a few Christmases later. He’s the big attraction because no one has seen him and they want to say hi. You then find out Larry is more of an ass than he was back then and that his conspiracy theories (“Papa John is secretly financing the Podesta/Clinton child rape cult and there are sex dungeons at every pizza shop!”) are even more out there than they were, and you’re reminded of why you’d prefer to never see the guy again.

 

Also - people don't realize he was a "volume shooter" - he just pumped out tweet after tweet and retweets etc - it wasn't so much the crazy stuff he said, but the "storms" at odd hours that made you think - the President of the US is up at 3 a.m. tweeting this much? Is that okay? Is he okay?

 

How the hell else is Texas going to turn blue?

 

Will he hump the American flag a third time?

 

No matter what, we'te all talking about FATUS again. Mission fucking accomplished.

And, once again itust be asked: Why do you keep listening to him after losing two branches of government over the last four years on his watch? Yeah he has money. Still.

 

If you’re an average politician you listen to the constituents you hear from, and you don’t hear from the contented ones because why would they bother seeking you out? (If you are a good politician you spend your time finding out what that bigger bloc you don’t hear from is thinking too.)
