Are we narrowing the list to the worst band in the Rock Hall of Fame? Shoot, I could throw out The Click Five.

I can’t stand Nickelback, but I’m a soft touch and this put them in my good graces:

There's a reason they ended up playing a Ramada Inn in Kansas City...

All these bands are The Rolling Stones compared to the Christian rock bands I witnessed at festivals growing up in the 1990s.

“If you like Journey/Foreigner/Def Leppard/Motley Crue, you’ll like Petra because they sound exactly the same!”

    No. No, they do not.

I’ve been to more than 10 live Petra concerts. My parents should’ve been charged with child abuse.

Boston, followed closely by Chicago. Either one gets the station changed — immediately. Those bands suck out loud in Dolby surround sound.

Here's what did it for Nickleback for me. I liked songs from the first album that blew up OK enough. I mean, I wouldn't change the channel when How You Remind Me came on the radio. They came to town during the height of that popularity, I honestly can't remember, pretty sure it was right when it went off so 2001. I was actually pretty excited to see them. They were so damn bad. Worst I've ever seen live. They seemed like they were just fake and forced it so much and just, terrible. I felt this way about Nickelback from that moment forward. The saturation that Batman brought up definitely plays a role. If I hear a Nickelback song come on sense I immediately move forward. That said, I will admit I can still listen to How You Remind Me every now and then.

@PCLoadLetter wants to know if they were worst than The Fixx.

Worse than The Fixx live is a mighty high bar to hurdle.

And regarding the Red Hot Chili Peppers — love the early Peppers, through Mother’s Milk. I’ve lost track of how many times I saw them live but it’s at least 6 or 7. (First time was the late great Golden Bear in Huntington Beach. )

The last time I saw them was more than 30 years ago. Just no interest at all now. I don’t know that I would put their work from the 90s on in the “worst band” category, but I won’t put up too much of an argument.
