I'm s0rry, too. He was pushing eighty and not in particularly good health. He was going to go soon one way or another. The first I knew he was in the hospital was when I heard he had passed.

Nice enough guy, but we weren't that close, and getting the call wasn't a surprise other than the cause of death. He'd still be toddling around if not for the bug though.

    Thanks, y'all.

Always sad, despite knowing the suffering is over. I'm sorry for your loss, and hope your uncle remains steadfast.

Terrible news to receive, even if you weren't very close. I hope he didn't have a long battle. Stay well.

The weather improved and 6.4 million people were vaxxed on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. More than 2.4 million got shots on Saturday, an all-time high. With J & J hitting the market this week, and with ramped up production from Moderna and Pfizer expected, we should be close to three million or more doses on the busiest days very soon.

My governor and state health department, who have been very conservative in virus issues, says anyone in the state will be eligible for a shot by July 1 at the latest, given current projections of product availability. That's encouraging.

We're winning. More than 73 million does have been administered in the US, and it's starting to snowball in the right direction.
