I was 0 days old upon hearing the Hawks had a head coach by the name of Lloyd Pierce.

Nate's becoming Gene Shue'esque in his travels.

If only he was on an episode of Wiseguy.

If only he could've made it to the Steven Bauer 4th season.

Nate's always been a pretty steady hand, at a variety of levels. At least with him at the helm of the Hawks for a year or two, they'll probably get a feel for whether it's the talent or the coaching that was the issue.

Behind Jordan, Magic and Kareem for starters. Probably some others, too.

Absolutely, yes. And Wilt, Bill Russell, and Oscar Robertson. Tim Duncan. Hakeem. Isaiah Thomas, and I HATED Isaiah Thomas. Dr. J.

When Kobe died people were declaring him the greatest Laker in history. He's maybe top five.

IMO, Oscar has never gotten the credit he richly deserves for being an all-timer. Not merely a Hall of Fame-caliber player.

Kobe Bryant is being propped up in a manner similar to Dale Earnhardt after his fatal crash in Daytona. Both great, but both overromanticized.

If we’re talking “anybody who wore a Laker uniform,” your top four are Kareem, Wilt, Magic and LeBron. Pick No. 5 from Kobe, Jerry West or Elgin Baylor. EDIT: Throw Shaq into the race for No. 5.
