I would love to be able to talk about the episode openly right now, but I think the set pieces are placed perfectly for next week.

Our understanding of Wanda and Agatha are so much greater and I think we will be rewarded.

My big complaint is an Avenger would never drive a Buick.

The saving grace for this episode was the chemistry between Olsen and Bettany in their one scene together. The mannered acting in the sitcom episodes was on point but got tiring. It's nice to see the characters free of the meta.

Some of the scenes seem to be composed more for a page in a comic book than TV. In this latest episode, the climactic scene at S.W.O.R.D. comes to mind. I wonder if that's deliberate.

So, I saw a theory and I like it. It is from Matt Singer at Screen Crush and this was before the Agatha/Agnes reveal but basically the real Big Bads are the Kree.

I think it could still be true and here's why: the SWORD guy has other motivations. He straight up lied about Wanda. She didn't break into Sword HQ and didn't steal Vision's body. He also knows that there's a Vision-like body, made of vibranium inside the hex as he's been tracking the metal's decay rate but didn't tell anyone.

Wanda has the power of spontaneous creation and people who go back and forth in the hex gain powers.

So Wanda is a potential super soldier factory and skilled enough, without even knowing how her powers really work, to take down Thanos. She's the most super-powered being on the planet and maybe the Universe. She also, it seems, has the ability to pull other super-powered beings out of the multi-verse.

The Kree, if they can get her under their control, they win any fight, any war. So she has to be a high-value target to them and while it may not be the case, it is still interesting to think about.

I’ll post tomorrow morning, but I am a lot more outside the box with my thoughts on this.

I’m also preparing to propose that once you watch it, post freely on this thread. Are any of us actually reading this thread before they watch Friday’s episode?

What is this? Game of thrones?

    "THEY'RE JUST SETTING EVERYTHING UP!!!"

.... just teasing, of course. And I said the exact same thing about a Buick. Also: Why is an Avenger talking to the receptionist at SWORD?

My wife said the same exact thing about the receptionist.

    Monday morning...

We are about to see a battle between...
Wanda and Vision and Agatha vs
    White Vision and SWORD

The true big bad will be revealed in a post credit and they might be motivating Agatha. The big bad was teaching Agatha the dark magic in the 1600s, but in 2021, Agatha was so drawn to the display of magic that she wants this power. The big bad wants it to or wants control of the magic so they can have something they want.

The entire telling of Agatha’s back story gives us some sympathy for her. She has only killed when forced to, so like the comic, Agatha isn’t totally bad. She can be good. There is no good reason for the showdown in the street. Agatha sees she is totally outgunned, so either she wants to help Wanda now or the big bad is forcing her to showdown with Wanda.

I think Agatha does a face turn.

I also think Wanda can bring people from other dimensions and is the nexus. Agatha could only mind control those brought in from those dimensions. This a huge thing the big bad wants.

I also think her sons are real and can exist outside the bubble. I also think she moves current vision into the body of white vision.

White Vision is another pull from the comics, though I didn't know it until I did some reading after the episode.

I'm guessing either Vision or the children make it out of WandaVision alive and safe, not both. I'm also certain that if the children are either taken or disappear, they will return at some point.

Maybe Wanda remembers she can age them up and gets a more powerful Billy to help her.

My other thought is maybe there really is no other big bad after all. Maybe it is just the players we've already seen. That seems unlikely, but I figured I'd toss the idea out there.

Oh yeah... Monica Rambaeu, Woo and Darcy all need something to do.

God, I’m looking forward to Friday.

Plus, I’m guessing SWORD ain’t so cool in the Falcon/Winter Soldier series coming up.

Maybe Abigail Brand will show up and take control of SWORD in this series or the next one.

    Or maybe....Nick Fury returns?

Can’t add anything other than this series is damn enjoyable. And very much looking forward to Falcon/Winter Soldier.

Probably going to have a lot more action in that one.
