I thought he testified in his divorce case that he was an entertainer and not an actual believer in the things he says, that it was an act for profit. This was because in a custody dispute it’s not in the best interest of a child to be raised by a right wing extremist.

I insist that because Twitter is not the government, it's not a free speech issue and that if I'm not acting like an asshole, I have no reason to worry about being banned. This is the guy''s reply. How do I respond?

It's not fair that he used logic.
Why do conservatives have to use logic?

I don't think your distinction between commercial speech and political speech is correct in this case

    It’s irrelevant.

The standards developed in SCOTUS decisions applying the 1st A don’t matter because the 1st A is not implicated in this case. Even if Twitter etc were monopolies (Alex Jones still has access to the Internet and numerous ways of sharing via the Internet), the 1st A doesn’t prohibit Congress from enacting laws “or monopolies from making rules” abridging free speech.

Political beliefs do not fall within the federal Civil Rights Act. I don’t know about comparable state laws. Further, Twitter etc do not fall within the definition of a public accommodation. https://www.eeoc.gov/eeoc/history/35th/thelaw/civil_rights_act.html

His crackpot hate campaigns probably racked up TOS violations, right?

Or, who knows, maybe he wouldn't stop lipping off to the moderators over there.

I wonder who's more full of shit, someone who says he doesn't agree with Alex Jones but supports his free speech rights or a Trump supporter who says some of his best friends are black.

Monetizing Right-wing paranoia, racism and idiocy is the new gold rush.

With 400 million guns loose in this nation, it would be a big overall plus for the human race if somebody would put a bullet through Alex Jones' head.

Considering his primary targets include family members and survivors of mass shootings such as Sandy Hook, Parkland, often accusing them of being in on the conspiracies, having faked the deaths of their children, etc etc., I'm surprised nobody in that group has taken it upon themselves -- for one thing, no jury would ever convict in such a case.

In the Sixties some people were very very worried that limp wristed Democrat pinko liberalism and runaway civil rights were going to overrun the country. Society reacted with Dealey Plaza, the Audubon Ballroom, the Lorraine Motel and the Ambassador Hotel and the situation was reversed. Society seems somewhat remiss at any counterbalancing measures.
