I think Iowa could still be dangerous. Saw them only twice, but they have an abundance of perimeter shooting, and an effective Garza inside makes anyone - Illinois, Michigan, Ohio State and others - pick their poison. That alone should make them a factor.

Weird year and no lessons can be learned or is this the year that the corner turns on the ACC? Too many teams, a lack of identity and complacency by the old
    Coaches with nothing to prove.

Not sure I quite get that one. Will the ACC revert to the overall strength it showed in the 1980s? Probably not, just because it's a lot more difficult for 15 programs to be as good simultaneously as it was eight.

Yes, there are five coaches on the wrong side of 70 (Larranaga, Hamilton, Roy Williams, Krzyzewski, Boeheim). Does that mean the league is done? Highly doubtful. Tony Bennett in Charlottesville is a young man. Mike Young in Blacksburg is 57. Jeff Capel is still a relatively young man in Pittsburgh.

Time marches on. Doesn't mean the ACC won't.

App did come back and win in OT after blowing an eight-point lead with about 30 seconds left in regulation.

I know you wrote this before yesterday's game, but Illinois beat Michigan and Ohio State on the road in the same week. Barring a weird first-round loss to a Nebraska type in the Big Ten tournament, the Illini are probably a lock for a one seed now.

This is the year that a Cinderella could very well win the tournament.

    Second round?

I'm an Iowa homer, and he should have a home in the NBA, but the buzz about him is non-existent.
