Good to see. Most of the reviews I've read have said it's bad. I plan to watch later tonight.

Seriously? Another example of a great film that had no reason to do a modern sequel.

I have to disagree with Driftwood. This movie wasn't great. Fun for some nostalgia but highly forgettable otherwise.

It was a great nostalgic run and perfectly acceptable B- movie.

The Trial of the Chicago 7. Excellent movie. Very Sorkin, but he really toned down the rapid-fire dialogue and constant walking and talking I usually expect from him. It was more “A Few Good Men” than “The West Wing.”

The acting was excellent up and down the cast. I particularly liked Yahya Abdul Mateen II as Bobby Seale.

Watched it last night and your post about summarizes it. The nostalgia was nice, there was some good laughs, and the plot itself was meh at best.

Rolling Thunder. Rarely seen 70s Paul Schraeder neo-noir grindhouse thriller. Another reason the Seventies were the last good decade in this country. William Devane, Tommy Lee Jones and Linda Haynes. Tarantino named his short-lived company for it.

On a personal note, when I was a sports journo Devane starred as a tennis coach in the deplored 90s sitcom Phenom . The prick wouldn't consent to an interview when a colleague went out there to write about the show.

Just for film fans. No one will confuse The Shining with Clockwork Orange, but here's Kubrick working

Dial M for Murder. One of the few Hitchcock movies I missed. Very good, not his best but definitely worth watching. Beat part is that it’s great to watch one like this that you’ve never seen before.

I don’t know if it’s been done but you could put the movie on stage. It takes place in a living room probably only 2-3 other set pieces.

One of the great holy shit ending in movies. And Sean Young was hot as hell.
