Turned out the ailment was not so minor. He sat out nearly the entire ‘83 season, came back briefly against the Jets, kicked ass for about a half, then felt pain again and never played again.

I always thought he was going to be back. He took a big pay cut to do it. The Steelers created $15 million in cap space for 2021 and they aren't committed to him beyond that season, though they will have to eat some dead money in 2022.

They may have been better off moving on now, but given that most likely wasn't going to happen, I'm fine with this.

So ... that's one less team interested in Russell Wilson. And one less team in the Deshaun sweepstakes.

time to shut up, everybody. He’s been shown the respect. They showed him the money. He took the money. Cant say they won’t surround him with talent, he’s only 23% of the salary cap. Elliott is making $9.6M. Money off the table. Race off the table. 10 wins a season won’t cut it. Win something.

He's going to be the best qb in that division for the next four years. Might wanted to have waited until the TV deal was signed though.

Sooo he'd be making $44 a year instead of $40?

    Does that really matter?
