    Gary Andersen?

I dunno... KU would probably rather get somebody who's gonna hunker in for a few years. But you can't always get what you want.

K.C. Star's Sam Mellinger called for his head in yesterday's column.

How many current coaches could survive something like this - with nothing more than a "will be seeking counseling" consequence? Saban, Dabo, Ryan Day - and then maybe some schools like Liberty that nobody really cares about?

I kinda doubt at this point that any P5 school would make major hiring /firing decisions strictly on what columnists for any paper want.

I'm sure Mellinger echoed what a lot of other people were thinking.

Can we say now - with certainty - those "executive search firms" are kind of bogus?

They just give ADs cover to hire whom they want to hire.

I’m not sure if Notre Dame used a search firm when it hired George O’Leary, but if it did it should’ve gotten a refund.

I wonder if Les Miles thought he was in the clear once Kansas paid to have Snoop Dogg perform -- complete with stripper poles -- at the October 15 basketball practice in 2019.

My God does that not feel like it was a decade ago?
