Both injured, Fisher's Achilles and Schwartz's back. Fisher wouldn't be back before near the end of next season, and Schwartz missed the last 10 regular season games and all of the playoffs. Both older than 30. Plus, the Chiefs are over the cap and needed relief.

KC is going to have to get really creative to address their biggest weakness.

This year's NFL economy might allow them to plug in talented vets on 1-year deals.

They should get Duvernay-Tardif back. Not sure if that shores them up.

Valuable, but he alone isn't the answer. Roaf and Shields aren't walking through that door.

ESPN just broke in saying Schefter is reporting Cam is heading back to a New England.

This move will be well received by Pats' fans. But it's logical. Newton still comes dirt cheap and is a fallback in case the great Jimmy Garoppolo chase comes to naught.

Is much of it guaranteed? Could see Ruthless Bill getting Jimmy G and cutting Cam anyway.

Given Garoppolo's injury history, he could be planning to have Cam as backup.

Read it was up to $14m with 6m incentives which means $8m guaranteed. Wow

Would be curious to know if Tom Brady would keep reconstructing his contract if he wasn't married to the richest Super Model

With endorsements and even the contracts he has signed, he's got generational wealth already. It doesn't matter what his wife does or doesn't have. He's doing it to win Super Bowls.
