There’s definitely a nicer way to say it, but @Regan MacNeil is right on this one. Giving these assholes oxygen is part of the problem. Put them back in the margins where they belong and don’t give their utterances a second thought.

I caught myself today wanting to reply to an idiotic tweet I saw with something profound like, “My god, you’re stupid.” But all that would have done was raise some fool’s engagement numbers along with my blood pressure, and put the fool’s foolishness in front of more eyeballs the fool doesn’t deserve.

We are not surrounded by more idiots than ever before. The idiots just have a microphone now. They have a microphone partly because we give them one. We should stop.

I tried being nice about it at first, but after the 1,000th rando post, it gets a little nerve wracking, you know?

 

If you have a problem with it, too fucking bad Unless you're a moderator I'll do whatever I want.

 

The Q crowd will get into something else next. Whatever a snake oil salesman gets them to buy. Trump got them to buy into the “it’s not your fault, you’ve been victimized” mentality for the past decade. The churches will refine their message eventually and these ne’er do wells will focus on some tripe other than Dr. Seuss.

 

Then get a moderator to tell me to stop.
