I knew they were going to make a 3 as soon as ACU turned it over on that brain dead previous possession. Why must teams be so amazingly terrible at late game strategy?

 

I blame Steph Curry and his mouthpiece for this. Seems to ongoing strategy is dribble around the perimeter and chuck a 28-footer when you’re down one because they’ve spent a decade watching him do it.

Hey, I like a good upset as much as anybody ... but that last foul was a li'l iffy in my view. Abeliene Christian guy threw himself at the basket, brushed against a Texas guy who blocked his shot cleanly, and got a call.

To his credit, he made the FTs despite being a 55 percent free throw shooter on the season. But that last play easily could have been a no-call.

 

I thought the foul call was on the follow.

 

Correct. The guy who caught the blocked shot got hacked in the process.
