None of which weirded me out as much as Houston County being rendered HOW-stun.

Eh, that’s how it’s pronounced in New York, too. That’s why I left it out.

Yeah, I just couldn't resist. I was tweaking you, but I didn't mean to come across as condescending, and I probably did.

    I apologize.

This looks a great deal like February Arkansas.

No worries. The response would not have been to you, but to those who think using the phrase is somehow clever.

We've seen enough of each other's posts and thoughts ... again, zero worries.

The phrase was a lot more fun when it was an inside joke. Hollywood went and told everyone, and now that's spoiled.

It's still politer than "My, you surely are a drooling idiot, aren't you?"

Would be awesome if each player was responsible for their own, lugging it back to their hotel and then to the next game. No one else allowed to touch it.

Are we sure that Sister Jean doesn't duck out during media timeouts for a quick Marlboro?

Like that's worse than A-rab, Alabama.

Well ... short of an insult from the Subhuman Pile of Crime himself, almost anything is more polite than that.

There's a Houston/Howston in Ohio as well as Rueshi (Russia) and Ver-sales (Versailles).

Georgia also has a Schley County. Pronounced “sly.”
