On the bright side, I never heard the phrase "Press Virginia" this entire season.

College hockey and college basketball both share this trait. A lot of the excitement comes because the players are so often way way over their skis in terms of their own abilities due to their adrenaline and their age.

If you’re my age or older and can watch Paul Mulcahy play for Rutgers without making the “Jocularity!” joke, congratulations on being the more mature adult.

Cronin said the other night he called for one of his bench players, and he was in the fifth row..

Rutgers made a regional semi in 1979? What conference were they in? Independent?

    I would think so yes.

And no regional semi this year. Blew it.

Rutgers gifted that one. Played not to lose.

No. 15 from Rutgers missed 3 easy layups and had a couple of other awful plays in the last 5 minutes. An insane choke job by that team.

I’m sure a ton (although I did shoot over 75% on FTs my last 2 years of HS). Just the number of incredibly bad plays is what allows teams to come back.

Oral Roberts with a crowded student get-together back in Tulsa, because that’s a really intelligent thing to do.
