Interesting that BYU was apparently slotted into a Sunday game if they had taken care of UCLA and Abilene. I thought that was a no-no.

Not surprised that Kansas is done. Seriously surprised that they got housed like that.

That Michigan-Florida State game, IMO, is at least a round early. If anything, I thought that both of them and Baylor were the biggest threats to Gonzaga.

It still is. The NCAA said they were going to flip the regional semifinals schedule had they made it.

Tad Boyle and Colorado, IMO, were correct in that the call wasn't correct. Boyle didn't deserve the tech.

Having said that, Florida State was well on its way by that point. The Buffaloes had no answers prior to that sequence, and I question if that play would have cracked any code.

When they almost beat Illinois early in the season, I thought these Bobcats would be world beaters. But, it was a largely quiet season. They were inconsistent at best. They caught fire at the right time. Last night was a performance I sort of expected against Toledo. And, honestly, they didn't match well against Creighton which had so much athleticism in the paint. I give OU all the credit in the world for putting together a string of outstanding performances through the MAC tournament and the first round of the tournament. The great thing about loving a mid-major is that you know it's always going to end.

Been watching USC hoops for about 40 years. Never thought I'd live to see the Trojans beat Kansas, in the tourney, in the state of Indiana, by +30.

    Revised Final Four picks ...
    * Gonzaga ... Yes, Oregon looked great yesterday but they caught an Iowa team that was down a key defensive piece and took advantage. I'm not sure they get past USC. I don't know what it will take for Gonzaga to lose before the Final Four, considering they didn't play great in the first 10 minutes or so yesterday and took Oklahoma's best shot and still led by 12 at half.

    * Florida State ... Seems like they have their mojo back and they're more than due for a trip to the Final Four. Still have a sneaking suspicion Alabama has a 4-for-28 stinker from 3 in them, which will sink the Tide.

    * Baylor ... If they get past Villanova, which won't be easy, I don't think Arkansas or ORU will present much of a threat.

    * Oregon State ... Tinkle Train! The Beavers are 11-2 since a three-game losing streak in the middle of the year, the only losses coming to Oregon and Colorado, which they then turned around and beat. The tough part will be taking out Sister Jean, but after that, I can see that Houston is ripe for a choke in a huge spot.

    * Gonzaga over Baylor in the final.

I was just telling my mom yesterday that they don’t even have a name anymore; that they’re just “Sister Jean.”
