RIP Lucille Bluth (Jessica Walter)

Absolutely loved her in Arrested Development. Also had a great role in PCU and played opposite Clint Eastwood as a younger woman in Play Misty For Me. RIP. Someone please give her a vodka and a piece of toast for breakfast in heaven.

 

I hope Gene Parmesan greets her in disguise at the pearly gates.

 

Her voice work as Malory Archer was incredible. RIP.

Make me doubly glad Alia Shawkat had her back during that interview. Don't leave the important stuff unsaid.

 

She is one of those actresses/actors who I knew so much from one late in career role that it always surprises me when I see them in something from before that role that i had watched. For example, I didn’t remember her in PCU when I was watching arrested development. Maggie Smith was/is another. Billy Jayne is in the mail version.

 

"I don't understand the question, and I won't respond to it," might be my favorite line in Arrested Development.

 

Such a great talent. Lucille Bluth is an all-time TV character. I can't imagine anyone else playing the role.
