Same here, and I'd like to think I'm not a Luddite.

 

Have a colleague who has been in my office several times in the last few weeks swearing that he wouldn't get the jab until the end of summer. He now has an appointment for tomorrow morning. All of a sudden they opened up some spots in Augusta County and he got one. Things can change really quickly and I hope they do for you soon.

But I will admit that here in the Old Dominion it really seems to depend on what VDH district you are in. All politics are local, and perhaps all vaccine distributions are, too.

 

California will abandon the tiers starting April 15 and allow anyone 16 and older to schedule their first shot.

I was trout fishing in SE Oklahoma today. Between a restaurant (takeout for me) and a gas station, I was the only one of 50 or so people wearing a mask. I was very glad today was my two-week anniversary of getting the J&J shot.

The lady running the fly shop in the state park had one on, which I appreciated.

It's time to open it up to everyone. Then maybe some in the 20-40 age group, who are the chief spreaders of the virus in my state, will get vaccinated and quit spreading it.

 

I'm not saying I buy into the conspiracy theories that this was all a political stunt to appease the Emperor in the North ... but if it was, this is pretty much exactly how it would go.
