The only thing that’s keeping Kyle Larson from lapping the field is Brian France’s stages.

It’s not the water. It’s the money.

I eagerly await Gragson being Jimmy Spencered in some garage area (probably will have to wait until after COVID).

I don’t care how much money is there, after a bit more Junior is going to say “enough.” The guys in that shop must not be fans.

Targeting the foot yet again: NASCAR, iRacing and Fox Sports are bringing back the eNASCAR invitational series tonight, but did it in such a way that non-charter driver Timmy Hill — who won the iRacing Texas stop a year ago — wasn’t invited to participate.

It looks like Brad Keselowski won’t be participating tonight and had found a replacement driver in house (Austin Cindric), but that driver seems to have problems with seat-fitting (which would be accurate in real life; Brad is 5-8 and Cindric is 6-2) so they “have to find somebody else.”

This isn’t a good look. The #LetTimmyRace hashtag has been trending globally on Twitter and I think it’s also getting traffic on Facebook.

If NASCAR is planning to make the iRacing series a weekly event again this year, maybe this gives them time to figure out how to do this right. If they can have a past winners’ provisional to get Mikey Waltrip into the All-Star Race every year, maybe they can gin up a past winners provisional for its iRacing events this spring.

Apropos of nothing, The Winston was a cool name for an event. I wish they would develop something non-sponsor-centric for the all-star race (it just sounds meh).

    NASCAR couldn't organize a one-float parade.

Trucks and Cup cars hit the track this afternoon on the fake dirt track at Bristol. I’m curious to see how this turns out.

    NASCAR? Non-sponsor-centric?

    I am awake, right?

I was there years ago for World of Outlaws, and that was a fun time.

Unfortunately, I think a lot of these turn out like the "________ at the Glen," which was great when it was "The Bud at the Glen," and not so good when it was the "Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at the Glen."

The Heinz Southern 500. (Which apparently is now sponsorsed by Cook Out? Really?)

The worst were the "(Ignore some random fan name) Crown Royal at The Brickyard."

Not to mention when Aaron's started being clever by having race distances that were odd numbers.

Either "The Southern 500" or "The Chicken Bog Southern 500." Only a South Carolina reference or no other name with the race ... but this IS NASCAR ...

And someone might want to let the Frances know that stock cars at the Brickyard is even more of a processional than restrictor-plate racing. Not a lot of racing room ... not sure it's roomier than Darlington.
