This all started because the Texans wanted Tunsil to protect Watson; how are the Texans feeling about that trade now (including the $$$ contract given to Tunsil)?? Yikes.

Dolphins could draft Tunsil’s replacement at 6, whichever of Sewell or Slater is there

One local talking head (Maiocco) just said it would not surprise him if the Niners selected Jones at 3; as excited as I was just after trade, that's how much indigestion I just got thinking about Jones at 3. NOOOOOO!!! A lot of guys would have looked great with those 4!! stud WRs the last 2 yrs, each one of them will have been top 15 picks; and then how about that OL, multiple first 2 rd picks.

They could do that, or they could pick second or maybe even first among the Chase, Waddel, Smith, Pitts group of receivers. Or they could take Surtain. They are now in primo shape.

    Next move is Carolina’s
If they want a QB they have to get to 2 (Jets) or 4 (Falcons)
Sam Mills would know better than I if the Panthers and Falcons would talk trade

Someone QB needy team in the top 10-15 might be forced to trading back into the end of the first round for Kyle Trask.

We think teams drafting these QBs this highly and kind of automatically translate that into expectations that they will be franchise QBs, particularly when you are giving up future first round picks to draft one - but I almost think the Niners would accept Garoppolo-type production from a rookie (-minus the injuries of course) if they could get it for 50 to 60 percent off what they would pay a veteran for the next five years. That money could pay two or three other starters. But then again, those future picks could have also been used for starters at other positions you could get at a good value.
I still don't like drafting any qb with limited reps (let alone limited reps against top talent).

I have a sneaking suspicion that the Panthers are thinking Mac Jones ... or they'll consider something else and see if Teddy Bridgewater can get it done. There seems to be some scuttlebutt that Trey Lance might last to No. 8, but given the pick deals of the last few hours, someone is going to reach worse for all the QBs than the Bengals did to get Akili Smith or the Bears for Mitch Trubisky.

If the Jets weren't willing to move and the Dolphins got the Niners to cough up what they did, what makes anyone think that Gang Green isn't going to demand even more? As for the Falcons ... why would they help a division opponent?

The trade talk for Deshaun Watson has gone silent ... wonder why?

Wait until teams realize this won't be like the Ravens going back into the end of the first round to get Lamar Jackson.

Has the rookie wage scale actually worked out for the veterans who supported it? Hasn't it done the opposite of what it was intended to do - put more money in veterans hands, instead they have a hard time getting a roster spot because the rookies make less and provide salary certainty and value for multiple years, which teams seem to value more these days as much as production on the field.
