I left the TV on for a few minutes after the end of the Bama game and on into USC-Oregon. But the 9362nd appearance this month of Kim Kietz, Investor finally made me hit the mute button and walk away.

The Pac-12 is 11-1 in games played, 12-1 including the no-contest. Seven of those 11 wins came as the lower seed, one as an equal seed. Gonna get 18 units for this tournament, which will be a financial windfall for the next six years.

I hate the 10-point final margin, but I'm at least glad that the two Jones free throw misses at the end of regulation were not as crushing as they appeared at the time. Granted, the Tide may have won if he had made both, but the tying 3-pointer at least forced the OT.

    Where am I wrong?

I don’t doubt he’s a fine man in how he carries himself and that he isn’t an a-hole like Gregg Marshall.

Florida State has five days to be ready for this game and they came out terrible. From 14 left in the first half until halftime, they carried themselves like a team that wanted to get on the bus. I place that at the foot of the coach.

They weren’t alone. Arkansas and Syracuse looked the same way yesterday.

Leonard Hamilton is Craig Biggio. A compiler. Can any of us make a memorable moment or two in his coaching career? He’s been at FSU for 19 years. I haven’t thought about that program since Charlie Ward.

Hamilton might be the smartest one here. Only work at places where no one really cares enough to put you on a hot seat and stay long enough where no one wants to move off a 72-year-old coach until he retires.

They'll save another $2 million in salary when he disappears this July.
