There's no real "gate" this year for the tournament and, after a year with very few fans, the NCAA is trying to find a way to maximize the TV windows to get the most eyeballs. Hence the four "stand-alone" games on Saturday and Sunday and stand alones tonight and Tuesday.

I don't really like the schedule as 6 of the 8 games the last two days didn't have a lot of drama. There's no way to switch to another game.

Also, no way to have another game on at halftime when the painful toss to "Lily" happens.

Not really. My local team shot .396 from 3, that's very respectable. Their most prolific shooter hit 49%.

The closer arc, smaller ball, and much better developmental/summer/AAU teams have made women very good shooters. Games in the dome have had much lower 3-point percentages than games played at other sites in San Antonio.

    1) You know what you did, and it was trolling. Or did you lose a lot of money? You brought him up as if his photo were on your virtual dartboard.

    2) Just because you haven't thought about Florida State since Charlie Ward doesn't mean it was irrelevant. It can be irrelevant to you, yet not to others. If you haven't recognized what they've accomplished in recent seasons, it doesn't mean it didn't exist. Just because you didn't hear the tree being felled doesn't mean it didn't.

    3) Hamilton has been there 19 years because he has (*GASP*) graduated players, not made a fool of himself unlike the football program and has won more than his share in recent seasons. That program produced two NBA lottery picks in last year's draft. Maybe he got more time because they don't revere basketball in Tallahassee the way it is in most other ACC markets and countless other places across the country. But, if that's the case, he took the time and care needed to build a strong program. That you went that far out of your way to tear him down was pathetic. Dixiehack brought up Hall of Very Good. Probably true, so what did you gain by going after Hamilton?

Isn’t the SEC one of the leagues that crowns the regular-season winner(s) as the official champ but awards the NCAA bid (like all others) to the league tournament winner?

I think everybody but the ACC does it that way.

Looks like UConn and Baylor figured out how to shoot in half a dome.

Don’t get Mike DeCourcy started on the myth of dome-induced shooting woes. He makes a very good case that domes don’t cause bricks.

Baylor appears to have a huge lead over UConn in players wearing false eyelashes. Whatever works for you.

    Damn good game so far.

Geno looks like the father of adult children in a CBS sitcom where he makes incredibly safe jokes about mobile phones.

I'm fascinated by the eyelashes. Watching over the weekend I saw several players on different teams wearing them. I don't wear them in real life and I can't imagine wearing them at a high-level sporting event. I like the colored braids that some of the women are wearing as well.

Aliyah Boston of South Carolina had an incredible thing going across the spectrum with her hair Saturday. It looked like the rainbow-colored wax they upsell at an automated car wash.

Wonder the depth perception isn't as problematic when the goals are closer to stands and such with two courts within the dome.

The men's Final Four is about setting the court smack in the middle of the dome. Does that make a difference to shooters?
