I agree with this. There have been some cool storylines, like Oregon State and the rest of the Pac-12 blowing up, and watching Gonzaga play is kind of breathtaking, but there haven't been a lot of stunning/great moments. Part of it was the lack of mid-majors, which people love to latch onto. But with the weird nature of the season, this was a really power-heavy tournament. The only non-major at-larges were Drake, BYU, VCU and Utah State and there was no Ivy League team this year. I've enjoyed the hell out of it, but a lot of that was missing it last year and the introduction of sports betting in Virginia this year.

Too many 59-46 type yawners for this to be the best ever, certainly in the shot clock era. I’m pulling hard for Gonzaga the rest of the way simply in hopes of striking a blow for aesthetics.

I also don’t think mid-majors surprise anyone any more.

Also, leave it to MLB to screw it up, though they got lucky this year. The Rockies almost always open the season on the road because of weather. We got 4 inches in downtown yesterday. It will be close to 70 on Thursday, but still, it's dumb to start this early at home.

A woman in line with me and my wife to get the vaccine started complaining because we had to stand in line outside for 15 minutes.

Everybody else started looking at each other with, “Bitch, we waited a year for this miracle vaccine that will hopefully end a global pandemic that killed half a million Americans and counting, that doctors and researchers spent every ounce of sweat and intellect to develop at breakneck speed, that would’ve taken 10 years to develop even 20 years ago, that will unlock a life of freedom that the rest of the world right now would kill to have, that will grant peace of mind, so please shut the fuck up about waiting 15 more minutes” looks at each other.

Science undefeated. Many people still whiny, ungrateful, goldfish attention span creatures.

This was one plot of the recent “South Park” special.

That’s the best thing to happen to Sarah Palin’s career in 10 years.

The narrative is already fixed in people's brains, but what the heck . . .
