It's not a Republican enclave. It voted for Biden and both Democratic Senate candidates.

Must have changed since a few years ago when Republican leadership in the county screwed over taxpayers in the county to get that stadium built.

After a crazy few days, I can't tell you how calming it is to come to the baseball thread to see a ridiculous argument about RBIs -- it brings a smile to know all is right again in the world

Pujols' job was to get the run in. He did. I'm sure even the front office folks in the back office were excited about that and weren't going to give the run back because he dribbled it.
Basement Bozos are the stats freaks who never go to a game, never talk to a player. I don't include you in that because I hold you in higher regard. But you and them have to get rid of this negative impression of RBIs. It is just stupid. Talk to the players. I have.

I’d rather talk to GMs and other front office personnel. Since they’re the ones actually in charge of building and running teams.

Your view of baseball is dying. Sorry.

Exactly. With a runner on third, it's the batter's job to somehow get him home. Pujols did.

Runs win games. When you drive one in, it helps you win.

The beauty of not striking out is often underappreciated.

Most GMs would be in favor of getting the runner in from third base, no?

Lol. So was this a clutch hit?

Most GM’s don’t make a determination on 1 play in a 162 game season. But you take your dribblers up the line and win with those.

    It was a clutch at-bat.

Analytic personal watch far more games than you do. The game hasn’t just passed you by it’s gone light speed by you.

Be happy for the win. Puljos made an out and had a bad at bat. You chose this as an opportunity to dunk on the nerds. Your basement jokes are even 15 years old. The game is run by these people.
