If you were any good, you'd get better, pertinent stuff from the players. You can do that, you know.

So, how would you have written that last night? With the game on the line, Pujols managed to hit a 60-foot chopper to third and was easily thrown out at first. (Ohtani scored the eventual winning run on the play.)

Look, this is getting crazy. RBIs are important, period. Not going to change my mind. I've followed and been involved in baseball for 60+ years. The oddball stats are not going to ruin it for me.

Duh, no, because the run would not have scored. Infield fly, no run. Dribbler to third, winning run.

A productive out in the bottom half of the eighth inning in a tie game that drives in the eventual winning run is a good at-bat. Most GMs would agree, no?

MLB hasn't said where they're moving the All-Star Game to, but given the whole Hank Aaron angle, I wouldn't be shocked if it was Milwaukee. Another good idea I saw was Kansas City and tie it in with the Negro Leagues Museum.

Uh, bases loaded, less than two outs, infield fly rule. They haven't regulated against that, as far as I know.
So you don't understand RBIs and you don't know the rules of the game. Why are you here?

I didn’t know how many outs there were. Nor do I care. Change infield fly to 200-foot can of corn then.

    Point still stands.

I love the oddball stats. They aren’t oddball to anyone who pays attention.

So you're in an argument in which you don't know all the facts. Nice. Now go away. Look up infield fly rule on your way out.

Lol. You still big on pitchers wins aren’t you?

    You missed the point completely.

No, with the advent of the "opener" and eight-man bullpens, pitcher wins are irrelevant. WHIP is a good stat. We were using that 40 years ago, we just didn't have a name for it.

    So did MacNeil, apparently.

You’re awfully arrogant considering there isn’t a single front office that wouldn’t think you’re a dinosaur. But go off.
