I could go back, but within this very thread I have noted that scoring rewards players who score runs equally with those who get RBI. They each get credit.

You're old, so you're wrong. That is very weak shit.
We've been around baseball a long time and we know things. You are saying that a 25-year-old has a better take on the game than a 60-year-old. Some dumbass analyst comes up with a flawed theory, you swallow it and insult everybody who believes the opposite.

You will NEVER win this discussion. I will say it again. Talk the the players. Ask them about RBIs. Fuck the analysts. Talk to the players.

If you don't believe me, talk to the players.

Who runs the game? It’s not the players. Feels like it’s 2005 here. Got any blogger jokes?

And there’s plenty of people that are your age who have evolved with the game. You aren’t one of them.

I hope more people post videos of players hitting weak grounders that score runs to show just how uncommon and special that type of play is.

I am not shitting on Pujols for hitting a weak grounder that scored a run. Hey, at least he didn't GIDP - though he owns the career MLB record.
He's gotten paid a quarter of a billion dollars the last 10 years and the expectations are so low on that slug that if he hits a grounder and doesn't hit into a double play, that is fine.

He grounded out. In the immortal words of Derrick Coleman, whoop de damn do.

So far this season, not one Nat has an RBI.

A player who walks 100 times but drives in 50 runs is more valuable to his team than a player who drives in 100 runs and walks 50 times.

Does anyone here agree with that statement?
