My point stands, the following errors jjust compounded the idiotic pitch call. And, not one fastball under the hands? C'mon.

Umps discuss whether Nelson Cruz hit a grand slam to right but the ball barely sliced to the foul side of the pole.

Next pitch, Nelson Cruz killed the ball to left for a grand slam, 6-0 Twinks, top-2.

    Urena sucks.

Why would I do that? I’ve never been a homer in the past.

This is what happens when the game passed you by 30 years ago. Don’t become this guy.

I don't care what stats you use to evaluate players, but "putting the ball in play" is what makes baseball fun to watch and fun to play.

Great fielding plays, aggressive baserunning, clutch pitches/hits in a pressure situation. That's why I always have enjoyed baseball.

Home runs and strikeouts are part of that, but in recent years they've become too predominant.

    Just my humble opinion ...

Catcher whiffed on catching strike three that was belt high.
All on the Keystone Kops routine with the catcher, first baseman and second baseman.

I sat down for some lunch, turn this on, and i was immediately struck with the thought that the color guy sounds old enough to be Al Kaline's great grandfather.

The foul review, and immediate launching of the grand slam on the next pitch was great fun.

Cruz just did it again, harder, farther.

To not become "this guy," you accept any whacked-out theory that comes down the pike. You don't need new baseball philosophies if the old ones work just fine. RBIs will never go away.

Agreed, but it is baseball’s responsibility to incentivize it, not the players’ to just choke down because we find it aesthetically pleasing.
