I've always enjoyed Walton's analysis and commentary; he's real, transparent, and not a homer. This just shows it even more. (And I rooted against UCLA in the 70's because they were always winning, even though I was a Cali kid, I even rooted for USC to beat them).

 

Is this a good time to mention that one of the Comedy Bang Bang podcast's recurring characters is a fake, even more over the top Bill Walton? Very NSFW:

Blanton came along later in Red Stick. Late 80s. That 1981 LSU Final Four team had Rudy Macklin, Howard Carter, Leonard Mitchell and a few others. They avenged a loss to Arkansas in the Great Alaska Shootout that boosted the Hogs into the Top Ten all that season.
