How did players who had significantly less
Opportunities to maximize their physical talents and skills play 9 inning doubleheaders? At no point in history are athletes better able to be in great shape and deal with injuries. Yet they are unable to endure pitching - minimum of 7 innings, play 80 basketball games or have players who only play on 1st, 2nd or 3rd down!

Tigers just tried tagging Miggy from third, with expected results, end of inning, still trailing 3-2.

After having Castro thrown out at the plate earlier in the inning, and with the bases loaded and Baddoo up next. I hope Hinch says the post-game presser that Miggy went on his own. Cabrera runs like he's carrying himself on his back while dragging himself behind him -- and that's still faster than Victor Martinez.

Sounds like he just cost someone an RBI and by extension, millions of dollars.

And now Miggy just hit into a 6-4-3 inning ender, Tigers still trail by a run going into top-9.

Shitty day for the old guy.

    Nothing happening at Wrigley.

Of course, the Brewers' bats aren't doing much either ... again.

The guy doing nothing for the Brewers has thrown 56 pitches through six innings.

Hint to the Royals and all other teams: If you just walk Jose Ramirez, you’ll probably beat Cleveland.

A diamond surrounded by hot garbage in that line-up. But he beats the Royals 4-2 with a pair of two-run home runs.

A's have a lefty pitcher named Luzardo, 23 years old, who looks like he's going to develop into something good soon.

He won't be on the A's very long.

Bummer; he’s one of the great people in MLB. Having undergone 2 shoulder surgeries on non throwing arm and at least 10 total dislocations (3rd surgery never done), I find it hard to believe that surgery will not take place at some point ( I hope I’m wrong).

Dodgers need to cut the cord with Jansen.

Mets tied the game in the ninth on a McNeil homer, then got the bases loaded with one out. Conforto then literally sticks his elbow out to get hit by the pitch, which was in the strike zone, and the umps rule the HBP is legal. Marlins go nuts. Mets win.

Even Gary Cohen and Keith Hernandez were ripping on the umps.
