I caught a little bit of the live feed on MSNBC last night from this, and wow, Ron Allen nearly got overrun by protesters and he kept trying to ask them, "What do you want to see happen here?" One guy calmly took a breath, looked right in the camera and said "we want to see these fuckin bitch ass n**** cops," and then the feed was cut, as Maddow cited FCC concerns on what you can show on TV. It was a pretty wild scene.

I posted this same thing in the other thread:

I don't think she winds up with a murder charge like Chauvin, but the "she thought it was a taser" claim certainly didn't do her any favors when it comes to negligent homicide.

Given her time on the force I’m sure this resignation involves keeping that sweet, sweeeeeeet guvmint pension. Best job in the country.

Police Chief has to be one of the worst jobs out there - you have zero power over the rank and file and are the "face" of the police department in the worst of times. Show me a chief who has actually gotten the ball rolling on reforming a department and I'll show you one who is facing a "no confidence" vote from the local union. And seriously, the only time anyone comes close to "liking" them is after some horrific event where they show some emotion.
