The Caps definitely don’t see it that way.

 

Makes no sense from here. Poile won't be fired and, with that job security, why not do what needs to be done, even if that means stripping the structure down to the studs? I know Poile never lacks for confidence, but leveraging that into that level of arrogance has to be tough to watch.

 

Pretty amazing four No. 1s changed hands, but none for Taylor Hall

 

He’s in no real danger of being fired, but he would almost certainly hit retirement before seeing the fruits of a full tear down. And his son is director of operations, so there’s some palace intrigue added to the mix.

 

I think he limited them to one team, but yeah, he went for less than I thought

He has all kinds of talent and I hope he does great for the Caps but he never was going to do it in Detroit
